Adrienne Michelle Kilsdonk, 46, lifelong area resident, died unexpected on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in Duluth, MN. She was born in Duluth, MN on May 29, 1979, the daughter of Richard and Tracy. Adrienne was a graduate of Denfeld High School in Duluth, MN, class of 1997. She went on to attend the College of St. Scholastica and worked in various employment positions throughout her life. Adrienne always had profound love of animals and dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. Her deep convictions and compassionate heart made her a strong advocate for animal welfare, bringing her to her most cherished role with the Douglas County Humane Society where she served as interim director. Adrienne found deep fulfillment providing care for countless pets and offering support to the community in her advocacy for animal rights and wellbeing. Although she did have a special interest in animals, there were other things that's she enjoyed with the same passion, one of those things was music. Whether it be listening to, or singing her favorite song for that day, exploring new artists and genres, or sharing her favorites with others, everything about music brought her joy. She was also a very intelligent woman who enjoyed deep conversations about human existence and what made the world turn. Waxing philosophical about existence was one of her favorite pastimes. She truly had a way with words and one of the largest, most versatile vocabularies. Any time you shared a conversation with her you would learn something new about life or yourself. She was a truly compassionate, caring, intellectual individual who always cared for others and will be deeply missed. Survived by her beloved children, Gabriel, Logan, and Chloe Kukull; special cousins, Tammi (Jeff) Norlund, Heather Whiteside, Courtney and Ember Allen, and Azalea Heinenkamp. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tracy Kilpela, and Richard Kilsdonk. No services will be held at this time. The Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street in Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements. To leave a condolence or sign the guestbook, please visit www.lenroot-maetzold.com.
