Alan D. Smith, age 61, of Temple, TX, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. He was born in El Paso, TX on September 5, 1963 to parents Durwood and Jeanette Smith.
He would graduate from high school and made the patriotic decision to proudly serve our country. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and eventually became part of the Coast Guard. He was a true patriot serving the people of this great nation and was given recommendations for his great efforts in striving to do his duty. He was honorably discharged and remained in the Bell County area until his passing. Those who served beside him and the friends he made along his journey in his time here will miss him, we should all be honored for his service and dedication in his devotion of doing his duty for the U.S. Air Force and Coast Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Alan is survived by his sisters, Pamela Covarrubio and Deborah Smith. He was blessed with nieces, Alexandrya Pacleb, Candice Johnson, and Brandy Wade and great nieces and nephews, Alise, Athan, Kalob, and Shawn. Though he has left to go on to a place of peace, he will be missed by all his family and friends.
There are no services planned.
