Alan Leon Whitaker age 36, born on May 16th, 1989, went home to be with the Lord on
July 13th, 2025. He is survived by his mother Sheila and stepfather Jerry, his niece
Emma, David Whitaker (father), his beloved fiancé Erika and children; Avery, CJ and
Wyatt Alan-Leon Whitaker (soon to be born), his grandfather Doyle Petty and the late
Linda Petty, his brother Ronald (Miranda Goodman), his twin sister Amy and husband
Jeremy and their children; Madeline and Micah, his aunt Sandy, his uncle Bobby and
Aunt Diane, his Aunt Deborah, Uncle Johnny and the late Aunt Marty, his mining
brothers and sisters, as well as many other family members and friends. He is
proceeded in death by his uncle Ronnie Petty, his Mamaw and Papaw Blue and Betty Chambers, Papaw J.B. Whitaker, and Aunt Marty Hamilton.
Alan was a very kind and caring soul, one that words cannot describe just what a
wonderful person he was, and to know him was to love him. He was an amazing father
who loved his children and fiancé Erika dearly. Alan was a devoted family man who
often loved hunting and making others laugh and smile. He touched many people's
lives in his life with his unwavering kindness and caring heart, and he will be deeply
missed.
The family would also like to thank the Jefferson County Sheriff's office, especially
Sheriff Coffey and Detective Gentry for the unwavering support they have given at this
time of need. We thank you all for all the hard work and time this office has personally
taken to help and what you have done for this family.
Pallbearers: Ronald Whitaker, Nate Koontz, Adam Johnson (Poptart), Justin Douglas (Gus), Justin Watkins (Red), and Jarriod Fetters. Honorary pallbearers: Conner (nephew), Jake Williams, James Holbert
(Big James), Kalob Tate (McLovin'), and Mike Martineau (Shrek), Terry Beeler. Family and friends are
welcome to join to reminisce, grieve, and remember Alan as the great man that he was.
Funeral service 7:00 pm Monday, July 21, 2025, at First Baptist Church Strawberry Plains with Rev. Ronnie White officiating. Private graveside service will be held the following day. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 pm prior to the service at the church. Fielden Funeral Home is honored to serve the Whitaker family.
