Albert Shaw Obituary

Albert Shaw, a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, in Griffin, Georgia, at the age of 85. Born on November 25, 1940, Albert lived a life marked by dedication to his family and his work.

Albert spent many years as an auto mechanic at Delta Airlines, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. His skills and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Violet Lockhart Shaw, and his parents, James "Sam" Shaw and Beatrice Hill. Albert's legacy lives on through his children, Kimberly Craig (Newton), Cornelia Wells (Tyler), and John Shaw (Lorie). He is also survived by his sisters, Loretta Petty, Becky Wentz, and Teresa Kidd.

Albert was a proud grandfather to his cherished grandchildren: David Bryan, Don Bryan (Emily), Dale Bryan, Dan Bryan (Mersaedes), Jessica Harshbarger (Chad), Morgan Shaw (Kaylee), Tori King, Brittnie Mullins, Becky O'Sullivan, Austin Wells (Rachael), Mason Wells (Annalise), and Jordan Wells (Maddie) and 22 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, February 13, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 3 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Gardens.

Albert Shaw will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
