Aleathea "Scooter" Mitchell, 74 of Blountsville passed away Tuesday June 24, 2025, at her residence. Aleathea was born January 29, 1951, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Cecil Bernard Peoples and Margaret Harris Peoples. She was a care giver and last worked at the Olive Home in Oneonta at the time of her retirement. She and Charles Mitchell were married on August 28, 1971.
She is survived by her husband: Charles Mitchell; son: Charles Mitchell, Jr. and wife: Michelle; daughter: Eleathea Falk; brother: Gregory T. Peoples; five grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Cecil Bernard and Margaret Peoples and brother: Cecil Bernard Peoples, Jr.
Funeral Service was 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 28, 2025, at Blountsville Funeral Home with Donnie Jones officiating. The family has chosen cremation following the service.
Visitation was 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Blountsville Funeral Home.
