Alethea Ann Cox Gentry – Age 83 of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Woodrow Ricker and William Gentry; son, Jeffrey Ricker; parents, George and Georgia Cox; brothers, James, John, Millard, Claude, Bert Cox; sisters, Jean and Bonnie; grandchild, Steven.
She is survived by her children, Katrina, Eugene (Barbara), Christy (Phil), Sondra (Phil), Fred (Linda), Paul (Marie), and Jan; sister, Mary Smiddy; grandchildren, Jennifer, Vicki, Tony, Peyton, Chad, and David; great-grandchildren, Riley, Tracy, Joe, and Steven; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kim Cobble.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Bridges Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Rick Ferguson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 PM on Saturday for a 2:00 PM Graveside Service at Woolard Cemetery in Dandridge, TN.
