Alice M. Price, a beacon of love and generosity to all who knew her, passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on December 26, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, Alice spent her final moments surrounded by her loving family in Longview, Texas. Her departure was due to a hemorrhagic stroke, yet she left behind a legacy of warmth, thoughtfulness, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.
A lifelong resident of Texas, Alice was the cherished wife of Miles Price Jr., with whom she shared an enduring bond of love and partnership for would be 57 years this coming August. Together, they built a family that included their devoted children, Mary and Tony Shivers, Leona and Shane Lewis, Shannon and Michael Proulx, and Miles L. and Brittaney Price. Alice's role as a mother was one, she embraced with her whole heart, guiding her children with gentle wisdom and an open heart.
Alice's legacy extends to her 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, whom she adored with every fiber of her being. She instilled in them the values of kindness, compassion, and the importance of family. A woman of faith, Alice's Christian beliefs were a cornerstone of her existence, providing her with strength and comfort throughout her journey in life. She carried her faith into every aspect of her life, teaching by example the virtues of grace and forgiveness.
Despite her commitments as a loving wife and mother, Alice found time to indulge in her passions. She was an avid player of cards, cornhole, shuffleboard, and bowling. Her competitive spirit was always in good humor, and her love for these games was only surpassed by her love for cooking. Alice's culinary skills were legendary within her family, and her recipes remain treasured keepsakes.
Alice's life was one of service and dedication to her family. Her work history and association involvement were centered around creating a nurturing home and supporting her family in all their endeavors. Her influence and teachings have left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
To describe Alice as loving, generous, and thoughtful is to capture just a glimpse of the extraordinary woman she was. Her actions spoke volumes, and her unwavering support and unconditional love were the foundation upon which her family thrived.
