A native of Oconee County, Buddy was the son of Allen Nowell, Sr. (Laveta), and Mary Stephens Mann (Tom). He was an RCP and turbine mechanic in the nuclear industry and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, Buddy is survived by his brother: AJ Nowell; and sisters: Lizzy Larsen and Peggy Mullis.
Buddy was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents: Arthur Nowell and Emily Dendy Nowell, and John Loy Stephens and Blondine Williams Stephens.
A private graveside service will be held.

The family is at their respective homes.
