A memorial service with military honors will be held Saturday July 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Plank Chapel United Methodist Church by Rev Edgar DeJesus. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
He is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Rigsbee Wrenn of Henderson; four sons, Alvis Adrian Rigsbee III (Angela), of Durham, William Vance Rigsbee of Franklinton, Russell Dean Rigsbee of Louisburg, and James Darin James of Henderson; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Wallace McFarland, Edward Rigsbee, Tommy Rigsbee and Larry Rigsbee and three great grandchildren
