Amanda was the firstborn daughter of Paul and Susan Loyd and began her earthly journey in Shawnee Mission, KS. She became a Texan in 1991 although felt her "home" was anywhere near nature. Fluent in Spanish, she traveled 5 of the 7 continents and visited over 14 countries of which she was particularly fond of South Africa and Viet Nam.

Amanda was blessed with many talents including written expression, fitness pursuit, and a fearless adventurous spirit. Although petite in frame, her powerhouse personality lit up every room she entered. She brought immeasurable joy and laughter to her countless friends and followers. Affectionately nicknamed "Manda Panda", she held a degree in Journalism with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Texas, was a Zeta Tau Alpha alumnus, and was excited about her recent work as a self-employed realtor and real estate investor.

She is survived by her loving parents Paul and Susan Loyd of Rockwall, TX, sister Brenna Loyd of Hurst, TX, niece Miss Eleanor Hamilton of Hurst, TX, 3 aunts, 4 uncles, and 5 cousins.

Please join us as we gather to celebrate Amanda's vibrant spirit with an evening of memories, love, and connection. The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 6:00-8:00PM at 501 at The Yacht Club, 501 Yacht Club Dr. Rockwall, TX 75032. Her light touched so many, and this celebration is a reflection of the joy she brought into the world.

Amanda and I worked together at Opendoor and then she joined me over at Zillow. Unfortunately we never had the opportunity to meet in real life but we became great friends over the years that we knew each other. She was a force of nature and will be missed by all that knew her!! I´m so fortunate to have been able to call you my friend!!

I didn´t know Amanda personally, but I live in Bend, Oregon, and was on the Deschutes River the day of the accident. I mourn the heartbreaking loss of someone whose spirit so clearly embraced adventure, nature, and meaningful connection. My heart goes out to her family and friends-may her fearless, radiant energy continue to shine through all the lives she touched.

I met Amanda in Peru while visiting my friend on their special trip around the world. She was easy to have an instant connection with, and we made many fun memories in those few days. Over the years, we stayed in touch, and I loved watching her adventures continue. She was so strong, independent, smart and caring. I am heartbroken her life ended way too soon, and I am so sorry for her family and friends. Sending love

I went to Middle and High school with Amanda. She always had that BIG pretty smile on her face and was the kindest person. I also loved to be a part of her travels that she shared on social media. Lets not forget the infamous Thanksgiving menu and theme for the year. You will truly be missed and my deepest condolences to your family and friends.
