Amedeo Picano Obituary

Picano, Amedeo Age 90. August 9, 2021 at Providence Park after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Ida of 63 years. Loving father of Anna (Stephen) Whitaker, Maria (Robert) Petersen and Silvio Picano. Grandpa of Sarah, Thomas, Kyleigh and Alyssa. Dear brother of Angelina Petrucci, Dominic and Mario Picano. Amedeo was born in Cassino, Italy on February 16, 1931 to the late Antonio and Assunta (Pacitti) Picano. Mr. Picano worked at Ford Motor Company for 32 years. He loved winemaking, was an accomplished accordion player, enjoyed gardening and shopping, was a jokester and was very social. He loved his family time and was a great provider. Visitation 3:30 – 8 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Ave. Novi, MI 48375. A rosary will be prayed Thursday at 7 p.m. Funeral liturgy 11 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at St. Gerald Catholic Church 21300 Farmington Road Farmington, MI. with visitation 10:30 am until time of liturgy.
