Amos Nichols Obituary
Amos Wallis Nichols, age 73, of Carlisle, passed away July 14, 2025. He was born on March 27, 1952 in Carlisle to Allen Nichols and Estella Thomas Nichols. Amos worked as a farm laborer during his lifetime and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a son, Dustin Cody Nichols; brothers Ray Nichols, Roy Nichols and Dwain Nichols, all of Lonoke; Tony Nichols and James Nichols of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters Betty Nichols and Denise Garland, of Las Vegas, Nevada; a host of nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
The family will receive friends during visitation on Friday, July 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel in Lonoke. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church north of Carlisle. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Online guestbook available at boydfuneralhome.net.
