Jefferson, SC - Ms. Amy Michelle Horton, age 40, entered into rest on Sunday afternoon, June 22, 2025 at Mcleod Regional Medical Center after a long and hard-fought health battle. There are no formal services planned. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the home (5456 Steen Road, Jefferson).
Born on January 11, 1985, Amy was the daughter of the late Jerry Langston and Lorretta Jordan. "Boo", as she was affectionately known as, was a graduate of Central High School, class of 2003. From an early age, Amy understood the value of hard work and during high school began working part time after her classes. Later she went on to care for children at Mama Clarks Daycare in Jefferson, SC. She enjoyed time spent on her phone, and often would make online connections with family, friends and old acquaintances. Most of all, the love for her family and the legacy she leaves behind will be cherished forever.
Survivors include her mother, Loretta Jordan; son, Logan Tarlton; grandmother, Mary Helms; and brother, Tony Glenn Locklear, Jr., all of Jefferson, SC.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home (www.mrcfuneralhome.com) of Chesterfield, SC is serving the Horton family.
