Andrea Joseph Turcotte Obituary

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Andrea Fernard Joseph Turcotte on January 28, 2025, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 6, 1941, in St. Benoît-Labre, Canada, Andrea was a skilled carpenter, specializing in concrete and sheetrock. A true jack-of-all-trades, he owned his own business for many years before joining New England Drywall, where he worked until his retirement.
In his younger years, Andrea enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, and hunting. More recently, he found joy in working with his hands-tending to his garden, maintaining his yard and cars, cutting trees, and staying active outdoors. One of his greatest pleasures was driving his grandchildren to and from school and their various sporting activities. Andrea was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. His generosity and willingness to help others will always be remembered.
Andrea is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Bertha Turcotte; his daughters, Sonia Harrison and her husband Allen, Bianca Turcotte-Reome and her children, Juliana and Kristina Reome, and Sylvia Turcotte; and his cherished furry companion, Kayden.
He is also survived by his sisters Helene Turcotte, whose husband, Avelin Begin, predeceased her; Jeannine Turcotte, whose husband, Jean-Guy Poirier, also predeceased her; his brothers Gerald Turcotte and his wife, Marie-Berthe Boucher, and Paul-Émile Turcotte, whose wife, Gabrielle Thibodeau, predeceased him; and his sister Rosanne Turcotte, whose husband, Normand Blais, also predeceased her.
Andrea was predeceased by his brothers Conrad Turcotte, whose wife, Helene Lachance, survives him; Wilma Turcotte and his wife, Marie-Paule Cloutier; Laurence Turcotte and her husband, Emery Busque; and Gerard Turcotte, whose wife, Olivette Boucher, survives him.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, February 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Church, 1043 Stafford Avenue, Bristol.
