Andrew Leo Greene, 72, of Keswick, Iowa, passed away on ­­­­­June 13 2025, at his home, surrounded by family. A funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18,2025 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, in North English, Iowa. Burial will be held in the Sorden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in What Cheer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Keswick Fire and Rescue. Andy was born January 14, 1953 in Sigourney, Iowa, the son of Frank and Theresa (Dansdill) Greene. He graduated from Tri-County High School, Thornburg, Iowa, class of 1971, attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, and was in the Iowa National Guard. Andy was united in marriage to Kathy Campbell on December 15, 1979, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Keswick, Iowa. He farmed all of his life, and enjoyed working with his cattle. Andy was an avid hunter, and enjoyed many sports, including football, baseball, wrestling and NASCAR. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, rarely missing any of their games and events. Andy was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in North English, Iowa. In addition to working on the family farm, Andy was employed at Kinze Manufacturing for 33 years. He was a hard worker with an excellent work ethic, setting a good example for all who worked with him. In September 2021, Andy was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. While he understood the statistics for this deadly disease, he maintained a realistic, yet optimistic attitude. Andy fought the good fight for over 3 ½ years, passing away on ­­­­­June 13, 2025. He will be deeply missed. Andy is survived by his wife Kathy Greene of Keswick, IA; sons: Anthony Greene of Montezuma, IA, and Damien Grant of Bloomfield, IA; grandchildren, Owen Greene and Oliver Greene of Montezuma, IA. Andy is also survived by eight siblings: Pat Greene of Keswick, IA; Terry (Willie) Greene of South English, IA; Mary Greene of What Cheer, IA; Kathy (John) Marner of Iowa City, IA; Beth (Mike) James of Deep River, IA; Frank Greene of Keswick, IA; Steve (Amy) Greene of Deep River, IA; Richard Greene of Keswick, IA; multiple nephews & nieces. Andy was preceded in death by his parents - Frank & Theresa; siblings - Francis, Jim, Mick and Ed; and his in-laws - Bill and Marge Campbell. "They are not gone, who live on in our hearts."
