Andrew Haralambou Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Farenga / Antonopoulos Funeral Home, Inc. on Apr. 17, 2025.
**In Loving Memory of Andrew Haralambou**
*1925 – 2025*
Andrew Haralambou, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend to many, passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on Holy Wednesday, April 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Cyprus in 1925, Andrew carried with him the strength and spirit of his homeland when he emigrated to the United States in search of a better life. With hard work, determination, and deep faith, he built not only the American dream but a life centered around love, family, and integrity.
He is survived by his beloved wife of many years, Elene, whose love and partnership were the foundation of their family. He was the cherished father of Mary and Vasilios Tsevis, and George and Maria Haralambou, and the adored grandfather of Andreas, Neofitos, Stella, Christos, Eleni, and Evangelia. Andrew's greatest joy was his family, and his unwavering devotion to them was evident in everything he did.
A skilled carpenter by trade, Andrew was a true craftsman-not just in his work, but in the life he carefully built with his hands and heart. He was a kind, thoughtful gentleman who always gave 100 percent, whether helping a neighbor, supporting his family, or simply offering a kind word. To know Andrew was to know quiet strength, humility, and generosity.
Andrew touched countless lives with his wisdom, warmth, and the twinkle in his eye. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation will be held on **Tuesday, April 22, 2025**, from **12:00 PM to 12:30 PM**, followed by the funeral service at **12:30 PM** at **St. Catherine and St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 22-11 33rd Street, Astoria, NY 11105.
