Andrew Kyle Johnson, of
Moore, Oklahoma, passed from this life on January 21, 2026, at the age of 49. Andrew was born on October 24, 1976, in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, carrying a deep sense of patriotism and commitment that remained with him throughout his life.
Andrew lived boldly and energetically. He was a man of strong convictions who enjoyed talking politics and never hesitated to share his perspective - often believing his way was, without question, the best way. Beneath that determined spirit, however, was someone people could always count on. He challenged those around him to be better, encouraged them to strive harder, and stood firmly beside those he loved.
He embraced competition and thrived on challenge. Andrew especially loved sports, with sitting volleyball holding a special place in his heart. He was passionate about shooting sports, rowing, fixing boats, and proudly competing in the Warrior Games as part of the inaugural team of athletes. His drive and determination were evident in everything he pursued.
In quieter moments, Andrew found joy in woodworking, where his craftsmanship and attention to detail were unmistakable. He also appreciated life's simple pleasures - a good whiskey, a favorite IPA, and meaningful conversation.
Most of all, Andrew deeply loved and adored his wife, Jessica-Rose. Their love was steadfast and extraordinary. Through every diagnosis, treatment, hospital stay, and hard season, he faced it all with her by his side - and she with him - a partnership defined by devotion, strength, and unwavering commitment.
He was immensely proud to be a father to Joshua Johnson and found great joy in watching him grow into the man he is becoming.
Andrew touched countless lives through his strength, loyalty, humor, and unbreakable spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Andrew leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife JessicaRose Johnson; son Joshua Johnson; mother, Betty Yarter; brother, Phillip Johnson & wife, Rachel; sister, Mandy Clinch & husband, TJ; 3 nieces, Samantha Johnson, Katherine Johnson, and Ava Clinch; nephew, Jones Clinch; and a host of other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, James Johnson, and niece, Layla Johnson.
Services to celebrate his life will be held at 10:30am, on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Devon Boat House, located at 608 Riversport Drive, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73129.
