Andy Le Isaac, 76, entered into his eternal rest Wednesday evening, August 6, 2025. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday afternoon, August 10, 2025, at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the James Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 AM, Monday morning August 11th. The committal and interment will follow at 12:30 PM in the Mitchell City Cemetery. Afterwards, everyone is invited to enjoy lunch and the sharing of memories at Harmony Springs Mennonite Church, Avera, GA.
Andy was born in Montezuma KS to the late Paul and Mary Isaac. His family moved to Georgia in 1957. Andy has been a resident of Mitchell for nearly 50 years.
Andy was employed by Jet Food Stores for the past 23 years. His main career was being a heavy equipment operator and business owner prior to that as well as farm life.
Andy was raised in the Mennonite Church and was always a Mennonite at heart. He surrendered his life to the Lord when he was injured during a farming accident in 1976.
Andy and his wife, Brenda, were married for nearly 49 years before her passing. Andy’s recent time here on earth was a simple life where he and his companion, Mary Ann, enjoyed growing flowers, feeding birds and spoiling their pets.
Family survivors include children Beth Turner (Charles) of Sandersville, Jerri Lynn Bender of Eatonton, Mary Margaret Veal (Scott) of Mitchell and Andrea Leigh Ivie (Jim) of Suwanee; daughter-in-law Mary Bullock; sisters Mary Ann Brown, Wava Isaac, Wanetta Rachels (Brinson), and Twila Holdeman (Dale); his companion of two years Mary Ann Reese; grandchildren Jeremy & Heidi Bullock of Pryor OK, Preston & Carol Bullock of Seneca SC, Daniel Johnson of Billings MT, Alex & Kaitlin Anderson of Dublin, Emilee & Jake Baker of Katy TX, Matthew & Dallas Turner of Sandersville, Madison & Rhett Gardner of Sandersville GA, Mary Grace & Cole Moye of Dearing, Caroline & Liam Newsome of North Charleston SC, Jack Veal of Mitchell, and Ella & Avery Ivie of Suwanee; and sixteen great grandchildren.
Zbynek Precechtel & Sona Novotna are close family friends both cherished by Andy and looked upon as family. Andy was also a close friend with George “Shorty” Newsome whom worked alongside with Andy for many years.
Andy was also preceded in death by son Jay Bullock; granddaughter Merita Bullock Johnson and her son, Sawyer; as well as his sister Iris Hughes, brother Charles Isaac and
brothers-in-law Richard Hughes and Bennie Frank Brown.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be George “Shorty” Newsome, Zbynek Precechtel, Mike Lyons, Frank McGahee and Jeremy Kelley
Andy’s life slogan was “There’s a right way, a wrong way and the Isaac way.”
