Angela Althea (Tate) Arnold, age 62, was born in Cleveland TN on July 15, 1962, and peacefully went home to be with the Lord July 2, 2025. She was a loving devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Whose unwavering love, tireless support and selfless devotion touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her family was her joy, and she spent her days nurturing, guiding, and cherishing every moment with them.
Angela was preceded in death by her loving parents, Alexander and Anna Lee (Westfield) Tate; Brother Tim Tate; Brother-in-law Garland Langham; Grandparents Eli and Leona (Jarrett) Westfield; Alexander and Ollie Tate; her aunts, Hazel Mee, Pauline Scott, Bertha King, Frances Arnold, Grace McCleary; Louise Scott, Percie Bain, Alice Jarrett, Helen Bain, Clyde Gains; her uncles, Carl Westfield, Lester Westfield and Buddy Westfield Roy Jarrett, James Jarrett, C.W. Jarrett, Inman Evans, William Evans and Austin Tate.
She professed Christ at an early age and united in fellowship with Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was a dedicated member of The Leona Missionary Circle. Angela was a graduate of Bradley Central High School in Cleveland Tn. She worked for Maytag for 31 years until she retired. She was a blessing, and a rare jewel who never met a stranger, whose smile would light up the room. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Son(s); Andrew (Bridget) Tate; Chris (Lavern) Arnold both of Cleveland Tn; Sister(s); Rosita Tate of Cleveland Ohio; Jaquetta Tate of Austin Tx and Stephanie Langham of Cleveland Tn; Granddaughters; A’Yannah Tate of Sweetwater Tn; Casiah Arnold of Dalton Ga; A’Nasjah Tate, T’Naejah Williams, Arieyah Legrand all of Cleveland Tn; grandsons Kingsley Tate, Zahkai Williams both of Cleveland Tn, Ahmani Nibbs, Robert Legrand of Florida; Uncle Sherman McCleary of Charleston Tn; Aunt; Margaret Tate of Cleveland TN and Special friend Richard Arnold of Charleston Tn and a host of family and friends.
Beloved Mother, grandmother, and sister, we will deeply miss your warmth, your guidance, and your unconditional love. You will forever be in our hearts.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 at 2:00 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church East and Inman Street Cleveland, TN with Apostle Sally Chaney delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the at Fort Hill Cemetery.
