Mrs. Angelita V. Botello, 96, of Lockhart, Texas, passed peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 2, 1928, in Lockhart to Julian Villalpando and Tomasita Velez Villalpando, Angelita lived a vibrant life filled with love, creativity, and devotion to her family. Angelita was preceded in death by her brother, Jose Villalpando, Sr.; and her sisters, Manuela Rangel, Julia Cordova, and Josefina Sanchez. She leaves behind a cherished legacy in her children: daughters, Mary P. Sanchez, Susie Rios and Yolanda Botello, and sons Leon Botello, Jr., and Fidel Botello, all of whom will forever hold her memory close. Angelita's love extended to her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. A woman of remarkable talent, Angelita's passion for knitting was a gift she shared with those she loved, creating beautiful keepsakes that will be treasured for enerations. She also found delight in watching her favorite novelas, a simple pleasure that brought her comfort and entertainment. Angelita's warm spirit and kind heart touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will live on in the countless lives she enriched. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating her life. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at DeLeon Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during this time.
