She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Corum; parents, Ivan and Trilma Russell; brothers. J. R. Russell and Curtis Russell. Anita is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Joenne Corum; daughter and son-in-law, Katrina and Johnny Smith; grandchildren, Nathan Corum, Robbie (Gail) Corum, Kandace (Elie) Muncey, Tiffany (Jason) Thompson, Billy Corum and Justin (Patricia) Smith; great grandchildren Kaitlyn and Haley Muncey and Adam Thompson; brother, James (Frances) Russell; sisters, Bonnie (Jerry) Thomas, Judye Smith Sharp, Mary Merritt and Trilma Davis; sister-in-law, June Russell; as well as a host of nieces and nephews; and family and friends. The family would like to thank all the nurses at UT Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Our sincerest and heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Tonya, Alicia and Lori for the loving kindness and dedicated care that was given to our mother during her illness.
The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2025 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Johnny Smith and Reverend James Russell officiating and music provided by Justin Smith, Ray Bull and Brenda Beeler. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2025 at Trinity to proceed to Corum Family Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Elie Muncey, Jason Thompson, Kent Dyer, Sam Thomas, Loren Davis and Robbie Corum; honorary pallbearer, Ronnie Welch.
