Anita Ann Guillory, a mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the age of 64 in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Anita was born on Tuesday, October 25, 1960, in Lafayette, Louisiana and lived a life characterized by her unwavering dedication to her work and an enduring passion for life.
Anita’s career as a caregiver and a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) was a testament to her compassionate nature and her commitment to helping others. She also proudly worked at Wal-Mart, reflecting her hardworking spirit. Throughout her life, Anita embraced her roles with warmth and sincerity, often going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of those she cared for.
Anita was a vibrant soul who loved life and lived every moment to the fullest. She was a dynamic member of the Red Hat Ladies' Society, engaging with friends and making lasting memories through their shared experiences. Her hobbies included solving crossword puzzles, listening to country music, and attending concerts featuring her favorite artists. Anita also delighted in attending local festivals and thoroughly enjoyed the excitement of going to the horse races.
Anita leaves behind her loving daughters, Chastity Dawn Guillory and Sonya Bordelon (Jacob), who share her spirit of resilience and joy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hayden Guillory and Lillian Paige Bordelon, who brought immense pride and happiness to her life. Adding to her legacy, she is survived by her brother, David Navarre; step-brothers, John Curtis and James Broussard; and stepsister, Jenifer Loomis.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Winston Mitchel Guillory; parents, Floyd Navarre and Ethel Simon; brother, Mark Navarre; step-father, Curtis Broussard, Sr.; step-mother, Oda Mary Broussard; and step-brothers, Jason Broussard and Curtis Broussard, Jr.
Her family and all who knew her will forever cherish the memories of her remarkable life and the indelible mark she left on their hearts.
