Funeral services for Anna Ruth Wesley will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cromwell Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the Sand Creek Cemetery.
Anna Ruth Wesley was born March 18, 1938 in Old Butner, Oklahoma to Paul Williams and Violet (Cross) Williams. She passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at her home near Okemah at the age of 87.
Mrs. Wesley was a lifelong resident of the Okfuskee County area and a 1948 graduate of Pharoah High School. She and Raymond Clay Wesley were married June 24, 1956 in the Cromwell Church of Christ. Mrs. Wesley worked at the Butner School cafeteria for many years and was a housewife. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She loved to hand-make quilts and was an expert seamstress. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond; parents; one daughter, Franis; one son-in-law, David Shaeffer; two brothers, Donald and Bert; two sisters, Virginia Aargon and Mary Lewis; and one great grandchild.
She is survived by three sons, Marvin and Christina Wesley of Edmond, Oklahoma; Edward and Cindy Wesley of Okemah, Oklahoma; and Danny and Josie Wesley of Okemah, Oklahoma; one daughter, Annette Shaeffer of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; three brothers, Earl Buddy Williams of Manford, Oklahoma; Francis Williams of Bristow, Oklahoma; and Doyle Williams of Okemah, Oklahoma; one sister, Kathy Ogg of Okemah, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah, Oklahoma.
