Anthony Fischer Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Wayne Fischer July 3, 1986 – July 26, 2025, Kansas City, MO.
Tony passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2025. He was 39 years old.
Right from the very beginning you could not help but fall in love with Anthony's beautiful, mischievous eyes and smile. He had an imagination like no other child and his incredible quick wit soon followed. Tony was curious about everything! Once, he was worried that the moon was broken when he was only six. He started school in Lawrence, KS, but by 5th grade his mom and sister (Carole) moved to Overland Park, KS. He graduated from Shawnee Mission South where he played football. During that time, he worked at Dairy Queen and helped rehab houses with his "Dad" Mike along with his friends and mom.
After high school, Tony dabbled in a wide variety of things and worked as a bartender but ultimately discovered his passion for music. He self-taught himself to learn drums with the help of both his dads. Tony did the same with a base, guitars, keyboards and could shout sing. He played in several bands as a drummer from Modie Bones to NEAT! His love of drums and guitars led him to create the love of his music life, DRUMATAR which is a set of drums he put together with guitar strings. Its sound remarkable!
Tony doted on his cats Patio and Jack. He was a lover of all animals but was known by his family and friends as the self-proclaimed cat lady. He spent some of his free time exploring the river and woods with a hammock and camera in hand.
Anthony earned a CAD certificate in mechanical engineering from JCCC and was currently working at Honeywell.
Tony and the love of his life Kalie had recently purchased their first home and were just starting the moving process when Anthony passed. They were both so excited and looking forward to raising Frannie together. Both Kalie and Frannie were his everything as well as his love for his "Mother who is made of glass."
Anthony was an avid Chiefs fan. There are too many hilariously fun memories of him that cannot be served justice in an obituary nor can the essence of his comical soul. On every Fischer holiday we would play board games and Tony would bring such joy to the very completive table!
To know Tony was to laugh more, worry less and see the world a little differently. His loss leaves a silence that rings loud, but his memory will always be the warmth in the room, the joke no one forgets, the project half-finished but built with love.
He was a builder in every sense of the word. Whether through his music, his hands, or how he supported his loved ones. He had a deep love for science and being outdoors. He could fix almost anything. He made the hardest days easier and the good days impossible to forget.
He was preceded in Death by his maternal grandparents Darrell and Wilma Fischer, paternal grandparents John Landers and Charlotte Neese, Stepfather "Dad" Michael Sage, Aunt Mary Fischer and Uncle Michael Landers.
Anthony is survived by his Mother Robin Fischer Sage of Overland Park, KS and sister Carole Landers of Lawrence, KS. His fiancé Kalie Marsh and her daughter Frannie of Kansas City, MO. He leaves behind his Uncles Jesse Fischer of Olathe, KS, William Fischer (Carol) of Overland Park, KS and Paul Fischer (Stacey) of Prairie Village as well as cousins George, Olivia and William Fischer.
Anthony is also survived by his father Jerry Landers and sister Jaclyn Landers of Lawrence, KS, Uncle Darren Landers (Kim) and cousins Kyle Landers and Jessie Landers Franssen.
Celebration of life is Saturday, September 6th, 2025, from 4-8pm at the Warehouse located at 3951 Broadway Blvd Kansas City, MO 64111.
