Along with her husband of 65 years and sons, she is survived is by her grandson, Zachary Vannoy, of New York, NY, sister Anna Gonzalez of Banner Elk, NC, and her daughters, Carrie McCunn and children Molly and Tyler of Banner Elk and Grace Morris ( Grayson) of Charlotte, NC., her brothers children, Martin Klutz (Trini), Trevor Klutz and Rhue Klutz, Vero Beach, Emma Peralta (Oscar), Coral Springs, FL, Amy Klutz (Nathan Smith) Ernestine, Greensboro, NC, & Matthew Klutz, Deland FL. On her husband's side, she is survived by her sister-in-law Kate Green, brothers-in-law, James Vannoy (Peggy), Fred Vannoy, and Max Vannoy (Shirley) along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her parents William P. Klutz and Louise Setzer Klutz, and her brother, Larry E. Klutz and well as her brother-in-law Spencer Green.

Cindy was born January 25, 1940, in Boone, North Carolina. She graduated from Appalachian High School in 1958. In September of 1960, she married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Vannoy of Boone and soon after they moved to Vero Beach, Fl where she raised her family. She enjoyed being band mom extraordinaire for all the years her boys were in the Vero Beach High School Fighting Indians Band. She volunteered wherever she was needed and affectionately called the members she loved dearly "my band kids." She loved bowling and was a member on various leagues in Indian River County over the years. Cindy was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing food for the ones she loved.

Cindy was employed over 20 years with Indian River County Adult Education Program. She began many new classes by going out into the community and finding craftsmen, tradesmen, and business professionals who could share their skills with the program. She was extremely proud of the GED program which she helped coordinate. She loved watching students of all ages cross the stage to accept their GED with pride when just a few months prior it was something they had never imagined.

Cindy was a people person and had many friends who she ran into around town anywhere she went. She was a true matriarch and was admired for her straight forwardness, good sense of humor, and honesty. Family members often came to Cindy for advice and guidance. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
