Antonio (Tony) Caruso, age 90, of Elmhurst, Illinois. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Caruso who departed this life peacefully surrounded by family on July 31, 2025. Tony was born in Celico, Italy to Francesco and Fiorina Caruso and is one of six children (sisters Michelina, Irene, Anita and brothers Carmello and Mario). Tony migrated to the United States circa 1955. Tony was a dedicated husband to Luisa, his loving wife of 58 years, and a devoted father to Frank (wife, Michelle) and David (girlfriend, Kristen). He was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren, Antonio, Alyssa and Arianna. Tony is survived by his wife Luisa, two sons, Frank (Michelle) and David (Kristen); three grandchildren, Antonio, Alyssa and Arianna; sisters, Anita and Irena; many sisters and brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, and friends who loved him dearly. Tony was a hard worker who was employed by GM as an electrician for over 30 years. He had a passion for automobiles and loved spending time with family. His work at GM's subsidiary, Allison Transmission, took him to Speedway, Indiana, before he retired to Elmhurst in 2010. Tony's kindness, willingness to help others and his unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 South York Street, Elmhurst. Visitation 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the Fireside Room at Church, followed by the Mass at 10 a.m. A private burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023, in Tony's memory. Arrangements in care of Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home. For information (630) 834 – 1133.
