Armand Roger LaFleur (76) Cape Coral, Florida Died June 29, 2025
Born May 9, 1949 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam CT. Armand married his wife Denise LaFleur (St. Onge) in February 1971, they cared and loved each other "till death do us part." Armand was the son of Wilfred A. and Yvette M LaFleur (Blain), brother of Louis LaFleur (Kris) and Rachael LaFleur Johnston (Shawn), father of Jennifer Hertzfeld (Elon), Heather LaFleur (Nancy Belliveau), and David LaFleur (Cho), grandfather to Valerie (Matt), Rebecca, Dominic, Xavier and Simone, great Grandfather to Sophie and Michael. Armand graduated from St Joseph's High School in North Grosvenordale and H.H. Ellis Tech in Danielson. CT. He served in the U.S. Army 25th Infantry Division in Vietnam where he was wounded and awarded a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Army Commendation, Air Medal, two Vietnam Service Medals, National Defense Medal and a Connecticut Combat Soldiers Medal. Armand had a long career as an electrician, working for John R. Obsorn Electric, Rogers Corporation, owned and operated A.R. LaFleur Electrical Contractors before retiring from Paquette Electric. Armand was a member of the Post 67 American Legion in North Grosvenordale, CT and later of Post 90 Cape Coral, FL serving as Sargeant At Arms, Captain of the Color/Honor Guard, and member of the Legion Riders. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, and the Putnam Lions Club having served as District Governor of District 23C. Armand treasured spending time with family, enjoyed playing cards with friends, riding his motorcycle, fishing and playing golf.
