Armand P. Morneau, 97, of Temple Rd, died Monday May 19, 2008 at Monadnock Community Hospital, Peterborough.

He was born on March 30, 1911 in St. Pascal, Quebec, Canada. He is the son of Edmond and Helena (Pelletier) Morneau. He moved to the United States at age 10 and lived in Lawrence, MA. At age 13, he moved to Greenville where he lived most of his life. After moving to the US, he became a naturalized US citizen.

He was formally employed as a machinist at C&W Metal Fabricators in Gardner MA retiring in 1973.


He had a great love for the outdoors. He was an accomplished trapper and is a member of the NH Trappers Association. He is also listed in the NH Trappers Association Hall of Fame.

He was the current holder of the Boston Post Cane in Greenville.

His wife Anita T. Morneau died in January of 2007.

Family includes Two sons, Ronald A. Morneau of Euless, TX, and Paul D. Morneau of Greenville. Three daughters, Elaine Y. Bourgault of Greenville, Denise Y. Harding of Hudson, FL, and Paula M. Szelag of Westford, MA. Six grandchildren. A Sister, Carmen Brown of Weare, NH. Several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, May 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Greenville. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, New Ipswich.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 15 High Street, Greenville NH 03048.

The Fournier Funeral Home, 12 High Street in Greenville is in charge of arrangements.

Gerry and I send our love and prayers to Denise and Dick, Laura and Amy and family. To lose a loved one is difficult no matter what the situation. Armand and Annette are united once again.
