Arthur Olgin Obituary

With great respect and fondness, we remember the life of Arthur Benjamin Olgin, affectionately known as Art. Born in Cleveland, OH, on November 22, 1942, Arthur's life was characterized by his compassionate nature, his funny wit, his loving heart, and spirited energy. He made his home in Gahanna, Ohio, where he lived a fulfilling life until his departure from us on February 5, 2025.
Art was a man of many talents and interests. His career in insurance sales was marked by his ability to connect with people, a skill he carried into his retirement. He had a natural gift for conversation and often found himself in the role of a counselor, always having the right words to say as you dealt with life's struggles. His hobbies included shopping and spending time with his beloved cats. However, what mattered most to Art was his wife, with whom he shared a deep and lasting bond.
Art leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Marilee Olgin, his children Annie Olgin, Greg Olgin, and Terry Olgin, his step-daughter Caren Gillette, his step-sons Tom Wadsworth and Ben Wadsworth. He was grandfather to Andrew, Jared, Aspen, Kayleigh, Alexis, Fate, and Charlie. Art was preceded in death by his parents, Hyman and Mini Olgin, and his son, Adam Olgin.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11:00 am EST at the New Temple Israel Cemetery, 2565 Performance Way, Columbus, Ohio, 43207.
