Arthur Simmons, age 80, passed away peacefully on July 8th, 2025. He was born in California but spent most of his life in Philadelphia, Tennessee. He was married to Karen Simmons for 51 wonderful years. He graduated from Loudon High School, class of 1963, and attended Hiwassee College. He was a business owner, a board member for Farm Bureau, an avid 4H supporter but most of all he was a proud farmer. He was a Master Beef producer and member of the Livestock Association. He was a devoted member of the Philadelphia United Methodist Church. He loved to fish and spend quality time with his friends and family.
Arthur is proceeded in death by; his parents Noah and Lucille Simmons, his wife Karen Simmons and sisters.
He is survived by; sons James (Cortney) Simmons and John (Kim) Simmons. Grandkids; Noah Simmons, Lizabeth Simmons, Camille Simmons, and Calleigh Simmons. As well as many friends and loved ones.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Woods Village Nursing Home and the wonderful staff with an even more special thank you to Stephanie Miller.
A visitation period honoring and remembering Arthur will be held from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 12th, at McGill Click Funerals and Cremations.
