Aundi Leigh Wright, 54, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away on July 17, 2025 surrounded by her family at CMC-Main.
Aundi was born on January 27, 1971. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Blackwelder, and her Father, Mickey Brown. She is survived by her loving fiancé, Dava Smith. They have built a life together filled with laughter, support, and memories.
She leaves a legacy behind through her children: Tyler Hoopaugh and his wife Jamie, Payton Hoopaugh and his wife Madison, and Jaden Smith and his girlfriend Mia Bandinelli. Aundi played a significant role as Nonie to her grandchildren Landon Hoopaugh, Tracyn Hoopaugh, and an unborn grandchild she referred to as nugget. This role as mom and nonie was what she cherished most in her life. She wanted nothing more than to give her children and grandchildren the whole world. Along with being a mom and nonie, Aundi spent the best 29 years of her life as a registered nurse. This career led her to many paths in the healthcare field, where she worked in hospice care, long-term care, corrections, and behavioral health. The impact she has left among the patients and colleagues she has worked with will be forever cherished.
Aundi also had the role of student in her life. In her early years, she graduated from Cleveland Community College with her associate degree in nursing. In 2023, she graduated from Capella University with her bachelor degree in nursing. She was currently working on her masters in nursing education, where she wanted to pursue a career in educating other nurses.
Aundi had the most unique soul that you would ever come across. She lived her life by God's will every day. She was often referred to as an angel sent from Heaven. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fur babies, reading, crafts, and playing games. Aundi will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her legacy will continue to live on through the people she has deeply impacted.
In lieu of flowers, Aundi has asked that donations be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society.
