Austin Robert Dean, 49, passed away on January 22nd in
Brookings, Oregon. He was born on June 22nd, 1976, in
Sheridan, Montana, to Shi Anne Dean and Robert Charles Dean. He was the third child of four children.
Austin graduated in 1994 from Logan High. During his younger years, some of Austin's favorite hobbies included golfing, snowboarding, skiing, jet skiing, playing his various guitars, and the piano. He enjoyed being in a band and motorcycling. Throughout his life, he was an amazing golfer, and everyone he played with thought he could have competed professionally. He also continued playing his beloved guitars and singing passionately, entertaining his many friends and family around campfires and gatherings.
In January 1996, he married Melissa Gibson, and they had one beautiful daughter, Molly. Later in 2001, he married Jill Petersen, and they had a beautiful daughter named Lexi. He valued his daughters and enjoyed singing, writing, going on ATV adventures, and going on motorcycle rides with them. In April of 2013, he married Shauna Haynie, and they enjoyed many times together.
Austin dedicated his professional life to agriculture. He had an extensive trucking history with long and short hay hauling, pesticides, and fertilizers. He was invested in the success of modern agricultural processes. He was proud to be a part of the farming industry.
He was an incredible musician, and what made him even more astonishing was that he taught himself how to play the piano and the guitar. He even wrote many of his own original lyrics and scores. Austin loved performing, whether with his band, girls, or solo, recording some of his favorite songs to be forever enjoyed.
Austin is survived by his beloved daughters, Molly Behunin and Lexi Dean, his siblings Shauna Dean, Aaron Dean, and Amber Openshaw. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shi Dean.
