Memorial Graveside services for Mrs. Barbara Cynthia Ann Hudgins (Parker), 93, of Pasadena, TX, will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, May 2, 2025 at Greenwood Cemetery in Garrison, TX.
Heaven's Gates welcomed our beloved mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend. Barbara passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, at the age of 93. She will be dearly missed by all.
Barbara was born on April 6, 1931, to parents William Staton Parker and Ruth Orlene Robertson Parker. She met the love of her life at a Tall Texan event and there began to build a wonderful life with Howard Glen Hudgins.
She worked hard to raise her family and build a life in Pasadena, Texas, before retiring to Timpson, Texas. In her later years she moved back to Pasadena to be closer to family.
She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. She was also a DRT and DAR. She was involved in the Genealogy Society. Prior to moving she was also an active member of Murvaul Methodist Church. Barbara was an extremely talented artist and seamstress.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Ruth Parker, husband Howard Hudgins, Grandson Andrew Waller, and brother Bill Parker. She is survived by her daughters Nancy Baker and husband Clay of Pettus, Texas, Martha Kleine of San Antonio, Carolyn Waller and husband Richard of Pasadena, Texas, grandson Brad Waller his wife Laurel of Deer Park, Texas, grandson Travis Waller and his wife Dr. Kristine Waller of Pasadena, great-grandsons Asher and Ian Waller of Deer Park, as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was surrounded by her extended family at The Reserve Pasadena Assisted Living Community. All who came into contact just called her "momma" and "sweet sweet lady." She will be missed by all. We take comfort in knowing she is at peace and was happy to go through heaven's gates.
There will be a graveside ceremony on May 2, 2025, at Greenwood Cemetery in Garrison, Texas, at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made in her memory to dementiasociety.org.
