RIFTON – Barbara Ann Buckbee, 85, of Maple Street, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 19, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Rifton, N.Y., on May 28, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Terpening and Barbara Simmons. Barbara was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful daughter. Her life was a testament to quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering dedication to family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of nearly 60 years, Ralph G. Buckbee, and her daughter, Debra Ann Buckbee. She is survived by her daughter Susan Barbara Buckbee of Rosendale; sons Ralph Buckbee and his wife Linda, and Steven Buckbee and his wife Katy. Barbara's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Ryan Mower and his wife Andrea, Anthony Mower and his wife Kristen, Alyssa Mower, Sara Dibble and her husband Austin, and Owen and Archer Buckbee. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Emilia, Melanie, Samantha, Kevin, and Mikaila. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday June 23 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. A Celebration of Her Life will begin at 6:30 p.m., officiated by Rev. Arlene Dawber. Cremation was held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to The Diabetes Foundation, 45 Whitney Rd., 2M, Mahwah, NJ 07430 or online at www.GJMoylanFuneralHome.com.
