Barbara Lhea Dexter, 93, a devoted mother and pillar of her faith community, peacefully passed away on Oct 12, 2025. Born on February 10, 1932, in St. Petersburg FL. Barbara's unwavering faith guided her life and her approach to motherhood, family and community.
There wasn't a stronger, more loving nana than Barbara. Her husband, William Dexter, children-Steven, Jay, Jimmy, and Sharon-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the loves of her life. She would do anything for family and was a constant source of love and support for all who were blessed to know her. She loved participating in church activities, and took a special source of pride in her role in the church choir. Bill and Barbara took great enjoyment in dancing which provided unlimited entertainment for others through community theater, events and family celebrations.
Although the family will miss her terribly, there is comfort in knowing she is now reunited for eternity in God, with her beloved husband, infant daughter Sandy and son Jimmy.
A viewing will be held November 4th from 2-4 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Lecanto, FL, and a memorial Mass will be held at St Benedict Catholic Church in Crystal River, FL, November 6th at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
