BARRE- Barbara A. Goyette, 82, of Barre passed away on February 9, 2025, at the Northeastern Vt Regional Hospital in St Johnsbury Vt.
Born in St. Johnsbury Vt on January 15, 1943, Barbara is the daughter of the late Francis Widger Sr and Trudy (Wells) Widger.
On October 20, 1962, Barbara married the late Francis Goyette at St. Monica Church in Barre. They made their home in Barre. Francis passed away on April 4, 2009.
Barbara was an avid follower of Sherrie's Jubilee and loved to sing Karaoke with them. She loved to go dancing with her companion Edmond Lehoux at the American Legion on Saturday nights. She also loved going to bingo and loved her cats.
She is survived by her son Edward Goyette of Barre and her daughters Debra Countryman of Montpelier and Theresa Parks of Barre. She also has many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Barbara is predeceased by her son-in-law Doug Parks, brother Francis Widger Jr and two sisters, Georgianna Lacross and Lillian Widger.
A Mass of Christian Burial to Celebrate Barbara's life will be held on Saturday July 12, 2025, at 11 am at St Monica Church in Barre. Burial will follow to St. Sylvesters Cemetery in Lower Websterville.
Calling hours will be held on Friday July 11, 2025, from 4-6pm at Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St. in Barre.
Arrangements are in the care of Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home in Barre.
