Barbara A. Parker, 87, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Monday, May 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Barb was born in Perrysburg, Ohio, March 1, 1938, to Walter and Nora (Cordry) Minarik. In 1956, Barb graduated from Troy-Luckey High School. On June 29, 1957, she married the love of her life, William Parker. Barb was a faithful member of Lemoyne Baptist Church where she actively participated in bible study, daycare, and stocking the mission cupboard. A lover of the outdoors, Barb worked tirelessly in her vegetable garden and enjoyed watching the birds in her sanctuary. She played Bunco with a close group of friends for over fifty years and enjoyed lunch outings with friends. Barb was proud of her four children and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sister, Mary.
Barb is survived by her children, Laura (Andy) Chanak, Bill (Jan) Parker, Karen (Steven) Campbell, and Michael Parker; grandchildren, William Parker, Jake (Meghan) Parker, Brittany (Derek) Flory, Nicholas (Joanne) Gagnet, Macy (Jack) Galloway, Luke Parker, Spencer Parker, Emily (Alex) Keyes, and Drew (Kelly) Chanak; great-grandchildren, Hattie, Harper, Arya, Mason, Stiles, Ava, Jack, and two on the way; siblings, Walter Minarik, Mary Shook, and Larry (Sandy) Minarik; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and husband of 51 years, William.
The family will receive friends at Lemoyne Baptist Church, 25020 Bradner Road, Genoa, Ohio, Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 10:00 am until funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment: Restlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to Lemoyne Baptist Church.
