Barbara Wenonah (Mitchell) Reagan, age 85, of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. She was born on January 26, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Grady Mithcell and Ruth Merritt Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Reuben Jackson Reagan, commonly known as Jack, in October of 2024.
A devoted member of Hemphill Presbyterian Church, Barbara loved the Lord with a sincere heart and served Him faithfully throughout her life.
Barbara had a gift for working with her hands and an eye for beauty. She spent many years in the floral industry, creating arrangements that brightened rooms and lifted hearts. Whether it was a simple bouquet or an elaborate wedding, Barbara poured love and care into every detail. She also served as a wedding planner, helping countless couples begin their lives together.
But above all, Barbara was a devoted family woman who found her greatest joy in loving and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love was soft and steady, always present, always generous. In her quieter moments, she delighted in collecting Gone with the Wind memorabilia and hummingbird items, treasures that reflected her timeless charm and gentle spirit.
She is survived by her children, Robin (Marvin) Thompson, Ron (Cathy) Reagan, Roxann (Jeff) Hester, and Renee Reagan; grandchildren, Robert (Kristin) Reagan, Amanda Thompson, Nicole (David) Grant, Josh (Michelle) Reagan, Justin (Katie) Thompson, Kristi (Ryan) Moore, Brittany Hobday, and Katie (Steven) Colon; great-grandchildren, Addison, Kennedy, Bode, Madison, Maci, Jackson, Rose Marie, Jonas, Krew, Kollyns, and Cruz; long time friends, Nicole Kidd and Betty (Ron) Pitts; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Ms. Linda, Teresa, Roseanna, and the compassionate team at Southern Grace Hospice for their tender, loving care of Barbara.
A service to honor Barbara's life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, beginning 11:00 AM, at Hemphill Memorial Presbyterian Church, 633 Hemphill Rd, Stockbridge, GA 30281. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Hemphill Presbyterian Church. Those who wish may sign the online guest registry at www.cannonclevelandfunerals.com.
