Barbara Ann "Rosie" Rosenbarger, 82, of Corydon, Indiana left this earthly realm to be with Jesus on July 2, 2025. Rosie was born in Louisville, KY on February 15, 1943, to parents Henry and Irene Hammontree. She is survived by her sons Michael Rosenbarger (Sharon) and Ronald Rosenbarger, her brother David Hammontree (Mary Jane), and grandchildren Hannah Kaster (Matt), Grace Moore (David), and Ryan Rosenbarger as well as six great grandchildren.
Rosie lived a generous life, living out her motto to "live like you're dying". She was an amazing grandma investing in her grandchildren's lives and enjoying deep personal relationships with them. Rosie lived life with joy and did not know a stranger. It was a common occurrence for her to run into friends everywhere she went, even when traveling to Disney World. She enjoyed Elvis Presley and Toby Keith music, and all things John Deere. She especially enjoyed mowing her lawn on her good friend "John" and driving fast cars.
Rosie worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Floyd Memorial Hospital for many years. After retiring, she kept vibrant and fit exercising at Silver Sneakers and volunteering in the ER at Harrison County Hospital, as a clown and office volunteer at Hosparus of Southern Indiana, and in her church, Pfrimmer's Chapel. She loved Jesus and shared her faith with her actions reminding us of Matthew 25:40 "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Rest well sweet Rosie, you will be sorely missed!
Visitation will be July 18th from 4-8 p.m., and July 19th from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery in Crandall. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in her honor be made to Choices Life Resource Center, 2201 Concord Ave, Corydon, IN 47112 or Hosparus of Southern Indiana, https://hosparushealth.org/donate/

I didn't know Rosie well , but she made me smile , laugh . Absolutely a very friendly, kind lady . Anytime I saw her at HCH cafeteria she was a joyous and her attitude was contagious even in the short moments we shared. Condolences to her family.

As an employee of Hosparus, I have known Rosie for the last 4 years, where I looked forward to seeing her every Tuesday morning. In addition to being a dedicated volunteer for our organization, I could tell by the stories she shared she was a dedicated Christian, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, nurse, and friend. We have been blessed to have Rosie as an integral part of our community, and I express my deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew her.
