A graveside service for Barbara Charlene Smith, 58 of Vidalia, LA will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at 9AM Friday, July 25, 2025 with John Simpson officiating.
Barbara Smith was born on Wednesday, April 3, 1967 in Natchez, MS and passed away Friday, July 18, 2025 in Vidalia, LA, surrounded by love. A devoted wife, mother, and friend, Barbara cherished her family above all else, including her beloved fur babies, who brought her endless joy and companionship. As the heart of her home, she was a natural homemaker-nurturing, thoughtful, and always ready with a warm meal or comforting word. Barbara found serenity in nature, especially beside the water with a fishing pole in hand, patiently waiting for catfish to bite-her favorite pastime. Her legacy of love, care, and quiet strength lives on in those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude.
She was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Bobbie Smith and her sister, Arlene Richardson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Danny Smith, Vidalia, LA; son, Andy Smith and his wife Faith and their son, Raymond James Smith of Vidalia, daughter, Aubrey Smith and her fiancé Robert Drummy and his daughter, Abigail Drummy of Vidalia, LA; sisters, Jean Johnson of Vidalia, LA, and Gayle Smith of Vidalia, LA, nephew, Arelon Smith, of Vidalia, LA, niece, Jamie Johnson of Natchez, MS, and a very close friend, Natalie Scroggins of Natchez, MS.
