Barbara A. Wright, 87 of Monticello passed away peacefully at 6:58 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2025 at her home surrounded by family.
Born on July 6, 1937 in White County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen (Martin) Owens.
Barbara was a hard worker and took pride in her many roles within her community. Barbara retired from the Indiana Veterans Home. She was also formerly employed at RCA, White County Hospital and Indiana Beach.
Barbara loved working in her yard and spending time with her family and loved ones. In her younger years she found great joy in dancing and being with friends. She was an animal lover who had many beloved pets over the years and rescued many abandoned kittens.
Survivors include her grandchildren: Michael Wright (Teresa), Adam Wright (Wendy), and Jasmine Adkins-Willis (Brian Duff). Great grandchildren: Anthony Wright, Ashten Wright, Ayden Wright, Alex Wright, Austin Wright, Adam Garcia, Cody Emigh, Tyler Emigh, Kylie Emigh, and Nina Wills. Great-great grandchildren: Aria Emigh, Kalli Emigh, Baylen Wills, and sister, Lottie Kinser.
She was also preceded in death by sons, Alfred (Zeke) Wright and Kevin Wright and great-granddaughter Analeis Garcia.
There will be no visitation or services at this time.
