Barbara Ann York, 86, of Decatur went to be with her Lord Sunday, July 13th, 2025.
Barbara was born September 6th, 1938 to Robert Lester and Willie Rae (Ferguson) Oliver in Speegleville, Texas. She was united in marriage September 17th, 1959 to Woodrow Wilson York, Jr. in Robinson, Texas. Barbara was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Willie Rae Oliver; her husband, Woodrow Wilson York, Jr.; 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tonya Hamilton and husband Thomas Russ of Decatur, and Kim Stuckey of Decatur; 4 grandchildren, Skyler Stuckey and Blake Foley of Dallas, Grant Hamilton and wife Morgan of Haltom City, Krista Morrow and husband Danley of Lewisville, and Preston Hamilton and wife Anna of Hurst; 7 great-grandchildren, Kiersyn, Ellery, Parker, Palmer, Sadie, Payton, and Sage; extended family and a host of friends.
