Barry William Barboza, born August 3, 1960, fell asleep in death on July 23, 2025. He was born in Fremont, California, to Christian parents and raised to know and love Jehovah God. He chose to dedicate his life to Jehovah and symbolized that by water baptism on March 4, 1974. At the age of 10 Barry met a young girl, Jeanie Harrell, who became his wife on November 4, 1978. They shared nearly 47 years of warm, loving marriage, building a life centered on service to Jehovah and deep devotion to their family. Together, they raised two children, Jenelle and Jacob, instilling in them the same love for Jehovah that guided their own lives. Barry and Jeanie raised their family in Colorado and Utah. They enjoyed their last 13 years together in Arizona.

Barry was a hardworking and devoted family man, providing for his loved ones through careers in construction, mining, and most recently as a journeyman electrician.

The most important part of his life was his Christian identity as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Barry and Jeanie served as full time ministers together until they started a family. Barry supported Jeanie in the full time ministry, having a regular share in the work himself. Sharing the truth found in the bible with others and serving the congregation brought them much joy. One of their greatest joys was watching their childeren grow up to serve Jehovah.

Barry found joy in the outdoors, cherishing time spent camping and hunting with those he loved, often reflecting on Jehovah's creative works. His friends and family remember him as a man who was loving, hard working, intelligent, reasonable, generous, and ready to help.

Those who knew Barry feel the ache of his absence but are comforted by the sure hope of the earthly resurrection promised by Jehovah-a time when he and all our loved ones will be welcomed back to a peaceful, paradise earth.

Barry is preceded in death by: his parents, John & Dorothy Barboza; sister, Sandra Graham; and brother, Randy Barboza.

Barry is survived by: his beloved wife, Lara Jean Barboza; daughter and son-in-law, Mareshah & Brad Hackney; son and daughter-in-law, Jacob & Vanessa Barboza; sister and brother-in-law, Jilda & Ed Gouveia; sister-in-law, Cathy Barboza; nephew, Justin Graham, neice Shaundré Gouveia, neice and great-nieces Randa, Delilah & Zalaya Shook, niece & nephew Sierra & Clint Nation.
