Barry Lynn Russell, 61, of Seymour, passed away on July 5, 2025, at his home. He was born on November 3, 1963, to Patricia (Aiken) Slusher and the late Charles William Russell.
Barry was baptized in Christ at the First Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Seymour High School and went on to earn his associate degree in Business Management from Ivy Tech. Barry worked as a meat cutter and served as the manager at Harlow's Meat Market in downtown Seymour for many years. He loved watching sports and was an avid Indiana Fever fan.
Barry is survived by his son, Chance Russell (Bri); his mother, Patricia Slusher; his brother, Joe Dean Russell; his sister, Peggy L. (Tony) Culp; two nieces; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles William Russell, and his brother, Morey Allen Russell.
A private family graveside services will be held Monday at Riverview Cemetery. Cremation has been entrusted to Scotty Wessel and Jon Pace at the Burkholder Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Seymour.
