Baxter William Little, 87, of Flintstone, passed away peacefully at home on July 24, 2025. Born in 1938 to the late Walter and Thelma Little, Baxter was a lifelong resident of Flintstone. He was a proud alumnus of Berry College and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Baxter spent more than 40 years working as an engineer at Mueller Co., where he was respected for his dedication and professionalism. Baxter was deeply involved in his community. He was an active member of the Alhambra Shrine, Rossville Masonic Lodge #397 and the Chattanooga Valley Lions Club. A passionate antique car enthusiast, he belonged to both the Antique Automobile Club of America and the V8 Club, where he found great joy in preserving and sharing automotive history. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Charlene Dixon Little; infant daughter, Sherry Little, and his brothers, Howard Little and Walter Little Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Little (Jonathan Hritz); grandchildren, Caileighan Hoyt, Persephone Swenson, and Lucian Swenson; brothers, John Little and James Little (Brenda); and several nieces and nephew: Rhonda Little, Jamie Little, Gina Derryberry, Christa DeBerry, Sandie Little, and Angela Ketner. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends who will remember him with affection and respect. Special thanks to Rhonda Dills and the staff at Hearth Hospice for the excellent care during his final days. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, in the funeral home chapel with Billy Chastain officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South. It is encouraged by the family to drive your classic or antique car for visitation, and the funeral. Online condolences may be shared at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by W.L.
