Nacido el 31 de marzo de 1962 en Nuevo León, México, era hijo de Esequiel Vasquez Martinez y Maria Amparo Estrada. Se desempeñó como contratista independiente y era de fe cristiana.
Le sobreviven su esposa, Guadalupe Vasquez de Omega; sus hijos, Aracely Gamez, Judith Gamez, Juan Gamez, Claudia Lara y Fernando Vasquez; sus nietos, Juan Espinoza, Benjamin Lara, Derrick Espinoza, Fernando Lara, Christopher Espinoza, Mia Gamez, Alexa Lara, Ariana Lara, Esteban Lara, Aden Lara y Alondra Lara; y sus hermanos y hermanas, Susana Vasquez, Juan Francisco Vasquez, Nina Mendez, Alma Vasquez, Blanca Vasquez, Esequiel Vasquez Jr. y Marco Vasquez.
