Bernice Mae Keiffer, 75, of Georgetown, OH, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Jewish Hospital. She was born May 8, 1950 to the late Roy Gar and Alma Kendell Grimes Griffith. Bernice was a devoted farm wife who found joy in the simple pleasures of rural life. She had a special love for her many outdoor cats and took great pride in her vegetable garden. A long-time member of Sardinia Hope Church, formerly Sardinia United Methodist Church, her faith was an important part of her life. Bernice enjoyed reading, going out to eat, shopping, and never missed a chance to meet someone new-she had a gift for making friends wherever she went. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother, a role she cherished deeply. She also shared a love of motorcycle riding with her late husband, creating many cherished memories together on the open road.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Donald Keiffer in 2016 whom she married on October 9, 1971 and an infant brother, Carl Edward Griffith.
Bernice is survived by her children, Sarah (Mike) Hardyman of Sardinia, Aaron (Beth) Keiffer of Sardinia; grandchildren, Emmett Keiffer, Colt Hardyman, Chastity (Kenny) Archer, Dylan Hardyman, Kathryn (Donnie) Davis; great grandchildren, Teagan and Hudson Archer; sisters, Linda (Ronald) Dexter of Sardinia, Lois (Bob) Holland of Georgetown as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sardinia Hope Church under the direction of the Meeker Funeral Home. Pastor Greg Inboden will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sardinia Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at noon.
