Uncle Bernie brought everything needed to help us hand drill a water well on our land in Mio, Michigan. He always treated us kids good. He loved his cars. I remember he got tired of the mufflers falling off so he welded them on. Him & my Dad, Carl, were two peas in a pod and showed brotherly love.
Our sympathies for the family.

For many years my father started his day with prayer. A Third Order Franciscan he said his office, the Rosary and many other prayers for the first hour of his day. During the day he also had other times dedicated to prayer and Spiritual reading. This he did for many years, until age and memory limited the time for long periods of prayer. Even over the last year he would say the Rosary with me three times a week with attention and devotion. I remember his strong faith in Tradition and Catholic teaching that he learned over the years of personal study, prayer and defense of the Truth shared with his beloved wife, my mother. Now he is with her to continue sending blessings to us as God wills. Daniel P. Ewald
