Betty Sue Adams, 81, of Morgantown, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Betty was born in Morgantown on July 3, 1944 to the late Thomas Perry Fletcher and Alice Adeline Reed Fletcher.
Betty served in the United States Navy and spent most of her career working as a clerical worker.
She is survived by her daughters: Cathryn Pilgrim of Morgantown, Shari Corbin (Paul) of Grafton, and Karla Hanlin of Morgantown; son: Jeffrey Pilgrim (Jill) of Florida; grandchildren: Desiree Pilgrim, Mandy Johnson (Jeff), Christopher Hanlin, Christian Hanlin, Thomas Pilgrim; great-grandchildren: Bayden England and Bayla Johnson; siblings: Helen Clawges of South Carolina, Marion Maddox (Rod) of Morgantown; and Barbara Rice of Morgantown; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Charles Adams.
Family and friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover on Thursday, July 10th from 10 am until the funeral service begins at 12 pm with Pastor Jeremiah Bostic officiating. Following the service, Betty will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com.
