Betty Anderson Obituary

McFarland/Formerly Milton, WI - Betty L. Anderson passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2025, after a short illness. She was 92 years old. Betty carried God's love and touched all who crossed her path with kindness. Born on June 19, 1932, Betty lived a life full of spirit, humor, and love. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Louise Schmeling. She is survived by her sister, Ann McCulloch (Frank McCulloch). She was the wife of the late Lawrence J. Anderson and a devoted mother to Lori Rowell and Teri Anderson (Jeff Modjeska). Betty was also a proud grandmother to Christopher Rowell (Caryn Rowell) and great-grandmother to Hunter Rowell. Betty and Larry met when she was a teacher at a one room schoolhouse in Rock County. Beyond education, she also worked at her mother's clothing store, Mary Style Shop (Edgerton WI). Together with her husband, they ventured into the world of business ownership: The Spring House (Spring Green WI), the Ruskin Laundromat and The Package People (Ruskin FL).

An avid sports fan, the Badgers, Packers, and Brewers were her favorite teams. Betty made her home at McFarland Villa in her later years, where she formed cherished friendships with both residents and staff. Her warm personality, quick wit, and generous heart made her unforgettable to all who knew her. Betty had a special way of making people laugh and never hesitated to speak her mind-traits that those around her came to love and appreciate.

If you knew Betty, you probably knew her favorite color was red-a color as vibrant and sassy as she was. She never met a dessert she didn't like! She was deeply loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Per Betty's request, there will be no formal service. Instead, she asks that you wear something red and raise a glass in her memory. She'd love that. Go with God.
